This next
rule I will have to explain.
In the United States if the
dealer has a blackjack the
player may lose no more than
their original bet. In Europe
the dealer does not check for
blackjack until all the players
are finished. If the dealer
has blackjack then the player
will lose the total amount
bet, including any additional
bets from doubling or splitting.
Naturally the US rule is advantageous
to the player. Online casinos
can go either way. For example
Micgrogaming has the full European
rule and Cryptologic follows
the full US rule. The following
table shows on which dealer
up cards the player is subject
to lose the total amount bet
if the dealer has a blackjack.

When talking
about blackjack - remember
that the most important thing
is to know the basic blackjack
strategy. Remember to print
out your free copy of our basic
blackjack chart before you
go gambling online.
Special
Note: The following are the
blackjack rules at Lasseter's
Casino.
Each card is dealt from
a unique deck
Dealer stands on soft 17
Player can double on any
first two cards
Player can double after
a split
The first
of the special blackajck rules
means that each card played
is dealt from a unique 52-card
deck. In other words every
card dealt has exactly a 1
in 13 chance for each rank.
There is no effect of card
removal. This is equivalent
to an infinite number of decks
of cards. Lasserters Casinos
blackjack rules has the following
effect on the basic blackjack
strategy:
The player should hit a
soft 13 against a 5 and hit
a soft 15 against a 4.
That was all
I can tell you about the number
of cards used in online blackjack.
